User's Manual

The TS-100 is the only shielding model for the apogee 12 volt fan suction radiation shield. Its unique aerodynamic shape and rugged low power consumption fan make it a research grade fan suction shield that can be used in batteries or solar power plants. The shield provides excellent sensor protection and uses a sensor port adapter plug to accommodate various combinations of thermistors, PRTs, and humidity probes. Typical applications include air temperature and humidity measurements in weather networks, usually for weather forecasting, and solar energy sites. Fan suction shields are also important in accurately measuring air temperature and humidity gradients above the surface and in monitoring climate change.
